To answer those questions… here we go…
So Laura how much can you ACTUALLY fit inside this mailbox of yours?
Honestly it feels a little like a Mary Poppins mailbox, it has so much more room than I expected.
There’s usually at least one glove I can use to pull pokey weeds, the kids now have a pair in there too.
I have a few pairs of scissors or garden snips as well as bailing twine and a ball of twine.
I found my phone tripod, some clips for frost cloth and tent pegs we use to string up tomatoes.

My phone and seed packets go in there when it starts to down pour, but I have “one more thing” to finish.
BUT! Don’t leave the seeds in there… they won’t germinate after extreme temps in summer and winter… trust me on this one!
Only dry things go inside and I don’t let the kids open it unless I say they can, we’ll see what happens when the youngest can reach it.
I’m most thankful for a pair of gloves (or let’s be honest even one glove is great)
And a pair of sharp scissors for herbs, twine, or weeds.
Having the tools at hand has kept me IN the garden and able to do that “one little” thing.
So what do you think?
Will you get yourself a garden mailbox too? Comment below.

P.S. Garden tool boxes don’t have to look like mailboxes. I also have a black, dented, Craftsman truck tool box for our front yard garden, it can hide under some bushes. I haven’t used it in the last few years, but I did find it at the curb with the neighbor’s trash. It’s not pretty, but it opens, closes, and keeps things dry. The inside was clean and it fit in my vehicle so… garden tool box!
