Mammoth Sunflower is an single stem sunflower that has 12" head and 8-12' tall flowers; Yellow in color.
These sunflowers grow to 8-12 feet tall, creating a beautiful wall, maze, or garden feature. The seeds are used for eating that both humans and wildlife enjoy. Wait until the sunflower head droops and turns brown before cutting it to dry before harvesting the seeds. A great activity for kids and adults alike.
Seeds are from Fence Post Flower Farm and grown with OMRI Certified ProMix Soil, Gnatrol, and Fish Fertilizer for nutrients. We have a great home-grown process to grow our plants. We are not a certified organic farm.
Plants will be available as 4 per 2.5" pot.
Plant Spacing recommendation is plant 24" apart gives larger heads. Single stem sunflowers placed closer together will produce smaller heads. Experimenting is always fun with sunflowers. Plant outside after last frost when night time lows are at LEAST 50*F consistently otherwise plant will likely be stunted or perish.
