Jalepeno is a medium heat pepper that has 1"x3" fruit; dark green in color.
(73 days green, 93 days red) Open-pollinated. Hot 1x3" blunt thick-walled fruits turn shiny brick red with the characteristic checking. With 3,500-6,000 Scovilles at maturity it is slightly less spicy than Early Jalapeño and needs a tad longer to fully develop that heat. If fruits aren’t fully ripened at the end of the season, pull up the whole plant and bring it inside to finish up.
Seeds are Open Pollinated from Fedco and grown with OMRI Certified ProMix Soil, Gnatrol, and Fish Fertilizer for nutrients. We have a great home-grown process to grow our plants. We are not a certified organic farm.
Plants will be available as 2.5" Pot. Plant Spacing recommendation is Plant 12-24" apart. Plant outside after last frost when night time lows are at LEAST 50*F consistently otherwise plant will likely be stunted or perish.
